Your Most Important Relationship

Happy Wednesday to you!

Humans were created for fellowship. As a result, we put much thought and time into relationships. We expend great effort to ensure the longevity of those relationships that mean most to us. Any indication of the demise of a relationship crushes our spirits. Yes, we may enjoy moments of solitude, but life would be miserable spent alone.

In spite of this, how much effort do we put into nurturing our most important relationship?

More important than the connection we have with our parents, our siblings, our spouse, or our children is our relationship with God. His love for us is greater than any other love we will ever experience. God’s love never grows cold or apathetic. His passion for us is consuming and His heart is ever towards us. Consequently, it is vital that we keep the flame kindled in our hearts for God. Lavish God with praises because He is and not because He does good things for you. Worship Him without allowing your mind to wander. Devote moments in time for fellowship with Him.

Below are my list of scripture verses that I meditate on when I am craving intimacy with my Heavenly Father.  In addition, I’ve included two of my favorite worship videos that help me to refocus on God. If you are reading this message and you feel distant from God, be encouraged. Simply open up your mouth and pour out your heart to the Father. As you are longing to be in His presence, He longs to be in yours.
