I’m currently completing a devotional that takes me through the entire Bible in a year. Each day covers two books of the Bible. Right now, I’m on day 40 which covers chapters in the book of Exodus and the book of Psalms. I’m almost toward the end of Exodus and God is really opening my eyes to so many things.
Something that I’m observing as I study Exodus is God’s immense concern for design and excellence. God has a set plan for everything. He has a specific way that He wants an environment to look and even a way He wants it to smell. God cares about the details. Within each person, He has placed gifts that He wants us to develop. God wants expert level workmanship from all of us.
God cares about you focusing on what He’s made you good at for His glory and the benefit of the world. God loves an excellent research article. God loves excellent architecture. God loves stellar choreography. God loves the perfect perfume or cologne. God loves a well written magazine. I could go on and on, but I won’t. I just want you to know that you are good at something. God has a purpose for your gifts. Focus on those gifts and they really will make room for you.
Today’s message was supposed to be about achieving excellent interior design in your home. Yet, God took me in a totally different direction. Please receive the message, and I pray that God would give you increased opportunities each year to operate within your area(s) of expertise. Be a master of something and not a jack of all trades, my friend.
