Happy Sunday to you!

Life is always presenting us with new challenges. You overcome one hurdle and another presents itself. You may say to yourself, “I can never catch a break!” If it’s not an issue with your finances, it’s an issue in your relationships. Your children could be healthy and happy, but illness takes over your family pet. (Family pet? I know many of you out there know what I’m talking about.) In life’s low cycles, it can be easy to complain. Your go-to reaction may be to throw in the towel. Some of you may even express frustration with God. How can He allow the struggles to come? (It’s hard to admit, but many of us do it.) Nevertheless, there is one thing we must remember. God’s faithfulness is not dependent upon your feelings. He remains consistent in His love, in His grace and mercy, in His provision, and in His favor.

In this season of my life, I have learned so much about God. One of the most important lessons I have learned is that God is always up to something. And it is always something GOOD. No matter how many times challenges arise, God provides the right solution. And a timely solution at that! God is ever faithful! You have to commit yourself to trusting Him when you wake up in the morning, when you move throughout your day, and when you lie down to sleep at night. God is with you everywhere you go, working on situations that are beyond your control.

I have so many testimonies of God’s continued goodness in my life. When I was in undergrad and didn’t think I could afford to stay at my alma mater, the Lord showed out and provided me with scholarships. When I was unemployed for almost a year after graduating from my Master’s program, the Lord blessed me with a job in my field. When I was a freshman in college, I lost my wallet with all of my most important documents at a coffee shop. I was worried sick that entire Saturday. I prayed and prayed all night. The next morning, the Lord allowed a parent of a young lady I attended middle school with to show up at my parent’s home with my wallet. All of the documents were intact. Over the years, there have been innumerable instances where God has covered me, shielded me, provided for me, and strengthened me. That’s why I make it a habit to keep a weekly gratitude list. When you’re going through, you can look back on previous lists and say, “God has been awesome!”

Know that God will continue to be awesome in your life. His love for you is steadfast. So don’t worry about a thing!

Love,

Psalm 103:1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
