Hope & Hardships

If this is your first time visiting this website, take a moment to peruse previous posts. There is a lot of truth, relevance, and inspiration for you to explore. Whether you are a subscriber, new reader, or frequent visitor, there is a reason why you arrived at this moment. The reason you are here is to learn a lesson or receive confirmation concerning your purpose.

When I received the idea to create this online space, I had no idea that I was entering into a new phase of my purpose. I considered the opportunities. Yet, I did not realize it was an ordained moment. Now, the words I am using in this post may freak out those who label themselves as non-religious. Nevertheless, don’t exit off the website. Continue with us on the journey.

The realization that this space is a component of my purpose excites me every day. I pray for the right words to share. I pray for the right content for my videos. I even promote my apparel and book after much prayer and consideration for you. I love this website and you the reader.

Nevertheless, this website also fills me with a lot of tears (out of frustration). I observe it blossoming. Simultaneously, I observe the rapidly approaching 2015 student loan payments from earning my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. I observe my car payments and my additional cost of living expenses. I consider the weight of it all. Sometimes, it makes me feel utterly hopeless.

You see. I recognize the purpose of this website. I recognize its power to impact individuals in every country throughout the world. Yet, I think of its potential demise under the weight of financial burdens which seem beyond my control.

Then, I open up my bible. I read today’s verses (written at the closing of this article). I realize the importance of my vulnerability in each post. I have to share my challenges with you. I have to share my hardships because success is coming. I would not want you to believe that success happened overnight for me. I share my hardships because you have had your own. Some of you are going through hardships like me. Some of you have lost multiple loved ones like me. Some of you are dealing with financial struggles like me. Some of you are trying to figure out where your life is heading in the next few days, weeks, months, and years. Some of you don’t see a future beyond this midnight hour.

I challenge you to fight for a future you do not see. I challenge you to continue to do the work that God sent you here to complete. I encourage you to read the following verses and the entire story of the man being spoken of. Your generation came out of that man. Yet, there were several moments in his life, in which he did not think WE would exist. Think of that…

Love,

CompassionateLee

Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
